Shari completed her 200-hour through the Yoga Center of Minneapolis.

Shari has been teaching yoga for 16 years, starting with prenatal yoga shortly after delivering almost full-term twins after practicing yoga throughout her pregnancy. She’s trained with some of the Twin Cities’ top instructors, including Jennifer Gray, Mattew Sanford, Momi Jhung, and Dec Barry, as well as internationally acclaimed instructors Judith Hanson Lasater, Eoin Finn, Desiree Rumbaugh, Rodney Yee, Shiva Rea, Gary Kraftsow, and the late Mukunda Stiles.

Shari believes that yoga should be challenging, uplifting, and life-enhancing — but most of all, that it should be fun, because if it’s not, why do it? “My classes are designed to honor students’ unique abilities, while also challenging them to test their assumptions, look at themselves with fresh eyes, and laugh a bit at what they discover.” She promises that you’ll leave her class sweaty, serene and smiling.

When she’s not teaching yoga, Shari is parenting two 17-year old daughters, as well as two dogs and one cat — and providing care for her daughter’s two horses. Shari’s other job is a marketing and communication consultant, and has been helping with the launch of The Yoga Center Retreat.
