Shari completed her 200-hour through the Yoga Center of Minneapolis.

Shari has been teaching yoga for 20 years, starting with prenatal classes a few months after delivering almost full-term twins after practicing yoga throughout her pregnancy. She’s trained with internationally acclaimed instructors, including Judith Hanson Lasater, Desiree Rumbaugh, Rodney Yee, Shiva Rea, Gary Kraftsow, and the late Mukunda Stiles; as well as some of the Twin Cities’ top teachers, including Jennifer Gray, Matt Sanford, Momi Jhung, and Dec Barry.

Shari believes that yoga should be challenging, uplifting, and life-enhancing — but most of all, fun, because if it’s not, why do it? “My classes are designed to honor students’ unique abilities, while also challenging them to test their assumptions, look at themselves with fresh eyes, and laugh a bit at what they discover.” She promises you’ll leave her class sweaty, serene, and smiling.

When she’s not teaching yoga, Shari is training on the flying trapeze, teaching spinning classes, playing piano, parenting her 20-year old daughters, caring for three dogs and a cat — and her daughter’s horse. She’s also a professional writer/editor and marketing and communication consultant, with a BA in Media Communications from the University of Pittsburgh, and an MA in Professional Writing from Carnegie Mellon University.
