A Note from Jen – December 2021

Dear YCR community,

As 2021 comes to a close I want to reflect on this unusual time and thank everyone who has helped sustain our small business that means so much to all of us. There are so many things to thank everyone for amidst the struggle our industry has faced and continues to face. Your continuation to show up on ZOOM and in person, your referrals to new students (word of mouth is everything to us) and your kind notes and phone calls “cheerleading” our staff and myself. You can never know how much this has helped to carry our spirits through this unprecedented time. 22 years in this business and I never cease to be amazed by the kind souls who surround us.

Although I had hoped we would be back to “normal” in 2022, it is apparent that we still are not out of the woods. So (sigh) we will continue to be “vax only in person” to keep everyone who enters our door as safe as possible. With the new Omicron variant we are suggesting people wear masks in class until this predicted surge is over, but leave it up to you to take care of yourself and each other. A big thank you to everyone who has supported the decision to keep our space as Covid-free as possible to protect our more vulnerable students and staff.

In total transparency, please know that we rely on each and every one of you to keep our doors open. As we work hard to stay tuned into the needs of our community, we have have many exciting plans for 2022:

  • Increased “hybrid” options so your classes are always available as we come in and out of variants. We are seeking funding to improve our technology for a more seamless experience. We are taking advantage of ZOOM and developing new programs that will bring in teachers and new students from around the country.
  • New amazing programs and trainings, including a New Years Mini Retreat Weekend. Join us for fun and meaningful workshops both in-person and on ZOOM.
  • Retreats are happening in 2022! We are looking forward to retreating with dog sledders at Camp Menogyn, developing our intuition in Bayfield, WI and vortex seeking in Sedona, AZ. We know you all need a lift right now and we are here to help you gather your spirits and light.
  • New products have arrived in our boutique that are available to purchase in person and online!

Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram, read our newsletters and spread the word. We need all of these to keep our doors open and provide a warm and important place in the community. We can make our way through this time together.

In deep gratitude,

Jen
