Sharing the powerful healing tools of yoga and Ayurveda is Lisa’s passion in life. Having suffered from anxiety, depression and anorexia at an early age, she found that the ancient practices of Ayurveda, yoga and meditation allowed her to heal physically, mentally and spiritually.
Her journey to helping others began in 1999 when she became a therapeutic massage therapist. Understanding the interconnectedness of the body, mind and spirit, she created Veda Yoga Therapy (which means “the knowledge of yoga”) in 2008. Understanding food from an Ayurvedic perspective and knowing the importance of Western and Eastern food methodologies, Lisa studied at Ashworth College and received her Certificate in Nutrition in 2011. Lisa then trained with Richard Miller, PhD, and became a certified iRest Yoga Nidra teacher in 2013 after four years of study. She then moved on to Ananda Seva Ashram in California to study Ayurveda Yoga Therapy and became a C-IAYT (Certified by the International Association of Yoga Therapy) in 2017.
Lisa is committed to awakening the healer within, and hopes that women and men are able to find the empowering tools of food, Ayurveda and meditation to be as life changing as she has.
